Automobiles in Germany's City Discovered Covered with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Police mentioned they were contacted by a individual who noticed a vehicle in Hanau covered with reddish substance

Around 50 vehicles have been smeared with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Vehicles, walls and postal boxes were defaced, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they stated in a official communication.

Officers state they were alerted during the night on Wednesday night, when a resident noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued liquid.

The fluid had been drawn in the pattern of a swastika, they reported.

Police then discovered numerous other vandalized automobiles and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Swastikas are illegal in Germany under regulations banning the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.

Police state initial examinations suggest the liquid was probably human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no clue as to where it came from; investigators are currently not informed of any physical harm in connection with the incident," they added.

Local authorities stated they were trying "to resolve the mystery" and have requested to the community for details.

A senior political figure commented the incident made him speechless and needed to be addressed promptly.

"This event strikes at the core of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the extremist terrorist attack five years ago," he wrote on social media, referring to the murder of nine people by a assailant targeting residents of migrant background in five years prior.
